SEASONED SOULS
Retreat for Women 50+
with Sandy Guest + Eva Hamilton
Sun - Sun, Apr 26 - May 3rd, 2026
Seven Nights in the Douro Valley, Portugal
This retreat is an invitation to slow down, soften, and savour this season of life - one that is rich with wisdom, resilience, and lived experience.
Set among terraced vineyards and the gentle flow of the Douro River, Seasoned Souls is designed for women in the second half of life ( 50+ ) who are ready to rest deeply, move kindly, and reconnect with themselves in a supportive, joyful community.
There is no striving here - only space to breathe, to listen, and to be exactly as you are.

Retreat Schedule
Each day is designed with simplicity and spaciousness, allowing your nervous system to soften and your body to feel supported rather than pushed.
Morning Practices
Mornings begin with gentle, all-levels yoga, accessible and adaptable for every body. These practices focus on:
-
Joint mobility and functional strength
-
Balance and stability
-
Breath awareness and circulation
-
Moving with curiosity rather than force
Whether you are new to yoga, returning after time away, or a long-time practitioner, you’ll be guided to move in ways that respect your body and support long-term wellbeing.
Afternoons
The afternoons are intentionally unstructured. Rest by the pool, wander through vineyards, enjoy conversations over tea, journal, nap, or simply take in the quiet beauty of the land. There is no schedule to keep and nothing you should be doing - only what feels right for you. Then join us in the Yoga Shala around 4pm for a gentle afternoon practice of:
-
Gentle stretching yin yoga
-
Supported restorative yoga
-
And other wellbeing workshops
Evenings
As the sun sets, evenings invite us together for shared meals, laughs, a wine tasting, and some restful after dinner sessions like:
-
Yoga Nidra (guided rest and meditation)
-
Sound healing experiences
These practices are designed to calm the nervous system, improve sleep, and support emotional and physical restoration.
About Your Guides
Sandy Guest
Sandy Guest became a yoga teacher in 2008 because Eva (her daughter) did not have a driver’s license to get to her much desired yoga teacher training. Unlike Eva, becoming a yoga teacher was not a passion then but it has become a passion since retiring as a Life Care Consultant.
The majority of her Chair Yoga and Mat Yoga students are between the ages of 60 and 80. She offers a blend of breath work, strength and flexibility poses in a relaxing and supportive, and very social environment. She encourages
students of all levels to move with intention, curiosity, and compassion—both on and off themat.
Sandy donates funds from teaching seniors to support the Meals on Wheels, Home Visitor and Medical Driver programs in her community.
It is with pride and pleasure that she is bringing a group of yoga students from her Seasoned Soul Yoga group to The Source. She welcomes like-minded seniors from anywhere in the world to share this Retreat experience.
