About Her Nature

Join us for a week in the Douro Valley exploring women’s wellbeing through yoga, movement, nature, creativity and rest. Each day of Her Nature is inspired by a different archetype of the feminine experience and guided by the wisdom of Ayurveda - yoga’s sister science and an ancient system of holistic wellbeing. Moving through the elements of earth, water, fire, air and space, we’ll explore the different energies we hold and how they shift through the seasons and stages of our lives.

Ayurveda invites us to understand our own nature more deeply - our individual constitution, rhythms, needs and relationship with the world around us. Throughout the retreat, we’ll introduce its foundations in an accessible and practical way, exploring the elements and doṣas alongside food, herbs, daily rhythms, self-care and seasonal living. These teachings will weave naturally into our yoga practices and workshops, with plenty of space to notice what feels supportive for your own body and life.

We believe that feminine energy has no singular expression. It's not about the body you inhabit, but the energy you embody. It flows through different archetypes - from the nurturing and protective mother, the curious and playful maiden, the wild and courageous warrior, the wise woman who leads through her experiences and intuition, and the queen who rules her life with presence and sovereignty. Through this week, we will embody each of these energies through our daily practices and explorations.

Settle into retreat life at our 400-year-old quinta in the heart of Portugal’s Douro Valley, where historical charm, natural beauty and thoughtful details create a space that feels special both inside and out. Wander the vineyard paths and gardens, find a quiet corner beneath the trees, cool off in the plunge pool with the sound of its waterfall in the background, or simply sit and take in the endless views across the valley.

Our days will move between energising all-levels morning practices, nourishing meals, workshops and creative explorations, before softening into slower afternoons and evenings of Yin, Restorative Yoga and sound - with plenty of unhurried time in between to swim, sauna, read, rest and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Welcome to the Source

Housed in a beautifully restored 400-year-old Quinta (vineyard estate), our retreat offers guests a unique blend of history, nature, and modern comfort.

Also known as Quinta do Outeiro, our home is nestled in the small village of Cidadelhe, overlooking the rolling hills and surrounded by grape vines and olive trees.

Take in the endless landscapes while wandering through the vineyards or get back to our simple roots by picking lemons or oranges in the gardens. Enjoy meals by the fire in our medieval dining room and practice under the starry constellations painted across the yoga room ceiling. Slow down. Rest in the hammocks or lounge by the plunge pool before withdrawing to your shared or private room.

We have poured seven years of love and labour into creating this space for you. Join us to rest and reconnect with your inner self in a truly unique and special place.
